There is a lot of PowerBuilderout there. It never ceases to amaze me how often I come upon an organization using PowerBuilder (pb) for their legacy thick-client applications. The problem comes when you try to do configuration management and/or release management against pb’s proprietary file system (.pbl). Pb files, spoken “Pibbles”, are similar to JAVA binary byte-code files. Fortunately, the fine folks over at CollabNet have solved this conundrum by supplying a plug-in for just such things. The plug-in extends the following integrated development environments (IDEs) by enabling them to use Subversion natively within the IDE.
